The eSSENCE graduate school in data intensive science met for a spring meeting downtown Uppsala.
The event sparked meaningful discussions and opened doors for future collaboration. A recent gathering featured several short poster presentations, but the main highlights were insightful talks on interdisciplinary project experiences, along with external presentations by SciLifeLab and STandUP.
A particularly appreciated moment was the opportunity to meet Peetra Magnusson, Director of the DDLS Research School. Discussions pointed to promising prospects for offering joint PhD courses of mutual interest to both doctoral schools.
Special thanks were extended to Marika Nestor (Akiram Therapeutics) and Tim Nordh (Altris AB), who generously shared their journeys from research to market — a highlight that resonated strongly with the audience.
“It was truly inspiring to hear how research can translate into real-world impact. We hope to build on this momentum and explore new forms of collaboration,” said Stefan Engblom, Programme Director.
